Getting the Angle of your Slice Serve While Working on the Traditional Tennis Serve
March 13th, 2010 by admin
If you’re trying to workout on the accuracy and power of your traditional tennis serve because you’ll want to use it for the second serve, even if the slice serve becomes your primary tennis serve, it’s essential to master the angles required for you to develop a proper slice serve. Try practicing tossing the ball at a 45-degree angle repeatedly without striking a serve, allowing you to greatly improve the accuracy and slice on the ball off the serve. Pick out the placement on the tennis serve carefully since the ball movement can be less forgiving than a traditional or top spin serve. While extra ball movement will also help you after the bounce, it can also make it more complicated to hit an initial slice serve.
