Why I am glad that they insist upon a mixture of letters and numbers.

Whilst I was at university we were told to set up our online student accounts. To do this we were told we had to have a combination of letters and numbers in the password we use. Since setting it up I have been slowly remembering places online that I have accounts and changing the passwords. This is because during my final year of university my popular Amazon password was hacked into because of the simple password which I had used. The person / company which hacked into my account started sending emails around to everyone on my email list which included my employer, my past employer and many lecturers and tutors from university. The content of these emails was terrible and I was mortified to find that they had been sent to everyone. Since then I have made sure that I use a password of mixed letters and numbers and even upper and lower cases. I think it is essential that everyone is encouraged to use a password which is as difficult to crack as possible and would save others from the kind of embarrassment that I had to go through.
