Amazon Kindle - Most Gifted Item Ever

According to Amazon, their kindle ebook reader was the “most gifted item ever” based upon the sales returns from this year’s festive season. they also sold more e-books on Christmas day than they did paper books. That’s hardly surprising off course. All of the lucky recipients of a shiny new Kindle would want to try it out and downloading an e-book or two would be a fairly logical thing to do once they had their reader out of the box and fired up. Nevertheless, it is still a good indication of just how far e-book readers have evolved and become accepted into mainstream culture - and in a relatively short period of time.
